With the aim of combinig the best of the T5H and P10H models, the Csepel Motorcycle Factory introduced the single cylinder P12 model, and hoped to increase their long-term chance of survival.
In addition, various structural details were taken from the successful P12, and the new machine adoptede 18” front and rear wheels, and various plastic components. With the use of rich chrome plating and high quality lacquering (mainly in deep orange), the P12 gained a favourable finish and pleasing aesthetically appearance.
That year, almost 5 thousand of these machines (and the prototype P11 replacement) were produced, but still the factory was closed, following national production policy.
