As sister model to the BERVA moped, the PANNI was a lightweight scooter for a single rider, with 20” wheels and fully enclosed engine cowling.
Pedalling was disregarded, and the engine started via a pump handle design. As the BERVA, the miniscooter adopted a 1.5 horsepower engine and a 2-speed gearbox unit, but the gearchange operation adopted a bowden cable design.
The PANNI was designed and produced at the Csepel Bicycle Factory, following national industry restructure, from 1960, the PANNI was assembled alongside the BERVA at the Eger Finefittings Factory. The total produced, however, did notexceed 20 thousand.
